The spirit known as 'Shoemaker' is an old fashioned spook. Dark coats, hats, he never looks exactly the same every time you look at him. He's always white. He's always old. He's always kinda boring.
Shoemaker is strangely resourceful. He's got connections in the mortal world, somehow. He works as some kind of information broker between power plays. Government, Criminal, Industrial, Shoemaker weaves webs between them. More often then not, he gets caught in his own treacheries. Rather than learn from his failures, he tends to just weave faster.
There's a thread unraveling from his design. Shoemaker is a throwback to the Cold War glory days. He's all wrinkled envelopes, bugged vases, and reel to reels. The espionage world is changing. Modern computer tracking techniques, cryptography, web surveilance, these things are quickly making his services obsolete. He can see the writing on the wall, and he's got a few chips to cash in before it all crashes down. The new world still has a few lessons to learn from the old one.
